Crayon Resist Space Pictures

All you need is paper, wax crayons and paint. If you want a frame, staple border tape around the finished pictures.

We asked the children to draw what they thought space looked like with the crayons and then paint over it with black watercolour paint (or just water down some black paint). The children loved drawing in white crayon and watching their picture appear as they painted. You could do the same activity for any theme.
